The pursuit of truly Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) has a long and checkered history. Today technological advances on many fronts from advanced sensors to high speed, high bandwidth communication networks are finally making the dreams of ITS a reality.
IEM provides a strong technology presence in the ITS market with current emphasis on Commercial Motor Vehicles safety inspections and emerging elements of highway safety. IEM works with key federal agencies, including Federal Highway Administration, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Federal Railroad Administration, as well as numerous state level ITS officials to bring innovative new products to this arena.
