solid axle rod of a wheelset using high-frequency
sound to detect internal flaw
PHASED-ARRAY TRANSDUCERS:The system uses two phased-array ultrasonic
transducer assemblies to inspect axles, wheels,
wheel seats, and bearing seats, ensuring that
regardless of wheel orientation any defects will be
detected.
HIGHEST ACCURACY:Subsurface defects can result in dangerous
operating conditions; the UAS-1000 allows for
the highest level of axle interrogation now
possible.
